The Art of Racing in the Rain -written by Garth Stein

If you ever looked at your pet or animal and wondered silently how much he knows or if he has a mind of his own you will enjoy "The Art of Racing in the Rain."

Enzo, both the narrator and the family dog, invites you into his home and his life. This book is heartwarming and humerous.  He speaks about imperfections, his own and those of whom he loves.  He is an example of unconditional acceptance but also shows that he is a creature with feelings and needs and wants.

At the end you realize people are not perfect but when they try to do the best that they can with what they have well thats the most we can ask of anyone.

As an addedd bonus I learned a lot about car racing, Enzo's owner's proffesion and one of Enzo's greatest  interests.  Something that helped me out when I impressed a guy with my knowledge that the new Ferrari had ceramic breaks.  Thanks Enzo!
