The point is....

The Point of the Website: Pets. The bizarre and expected. Stories both inspiring and ridiculous. I'll even throw in information about the owners. There is a very good chance that some information will slip in that isn't necessarily pet related but will be appreciated by animal lovers. So although we might not own a monkey or a giraffe, if they do something thats funny and/or heartwarming this is the place to read it.

Now I was never the kind of person that grew up collecting dog statues or wore cat sweatshirts. I never dreamed of being a vet or even working in a pet shop. However, what I have come to realize as an adult: I actually prefer the company of some animals over most adults.

Now I bet you are picturing the cat lady, some gal sitting in her rotting Victorian with seventy cats around her but lets be realistic? Do you think a Rotting Victorian has Wi-Fi?

What makes this website different:
It is actually meant to be informative. But also funny and life affirming. Sometimes when we read information about owning different animals it seems as though our whole purpose is to properly clean their hoofs or know what food is the best to feed them. That is important information, but the real purpose is that their presence improves our life.

What to expect: I can't promise to have all the information that you need from the beginning. But I can promise that if you ask me to get your information about a certain topic or animal within the week I will. I can't promise that this page will always be serious, but if you can sift through the stories and humor perhaps you will find what you are looking for.

A little about me: I have grown up around dogs. Always had pet dog. Actually my dogs were more dependable and emotionally available for me growing up then the humans I lived with. Therefore I still have a special affection for dogs. Animals have this incredible intuitive sense. They don't talk back, they don't try to solve our problems but they show us they care and more importantly, they are comfortable to sit with our joy and our sadness. Which is more then I can say for some people I know. If we open our hearts there are many lessons to be learned.

Quotes of the Day

I loathe people who keep dogs. They are cowards who haven't got the guts to bite people themselves. -August Strindberg

There is nothing in which the birds differ more from man than the way they can build and yet leave a landscape as it was before.
-Robert Lynd
